Dear John,
I thought you might be one of the few who might answer my question, but looking on this site I see there are not many answers from many of the politicians, so I will not hold my breath, as most politicians seem to avoid answering questions properly here.
Here we go so.
Why do politicians refuse to talk about or debate the drugs issue in any meaningful way?
It is a huge problem in Ireland, and prohibition has been proved not to work. The criminals are getting richer and the problems are getting worse.
But the politicians will not even debate or talk about the issues surrounding the drugs problems. Our prisons are full of drug users, and drink is causing much more serious problems in society.
I just cannot understand why the politicians are so allergic to discussing the drugs issues, can you please tell me why? Or give me some reason.
Best wishes for the future from John Adams CPPC candidate for Cork North Central
